I grew up in La Canada and graduated from USC. I raised three children, all graduating from university. I volunteered in my children's' schools, serving on many committees as well as in the classroom. I served as secretary and chairman of the elementary school site council. I served in the church Sunday school and jr and sr high school ministries. After my children graduated, I served as chairman of the board of a local private high school for students with special needs. Additionally, I passed the CBEST and earned 12 units in early childhood development while working as a preschool aide/floater at a La Canada preschool. I took care of my mother with the dementia for 10 years as well as my husband who passed from cancer. I have rescued dogs my whole life, having six for many years.
