I have over 15 years of experience taking care of my own mother, who had muscular dystrophy. Her needs included the use of a wheelchair, hoyer lift, bathing, dressing, meal prep and feeding. I also provided care for my 96 yr. old grandmother who needed just an extra hand with a few daily tasks and someone to listen and talk with her and of course, give her a few laughs and make her smile. I think families would like someone who is compassionate with a big heart who will take care of their family member as if they were their own family. People with a disability or who are unable to do all the things they would like or used to do, would love someone to talk to and provide companionship. I realized how important that was with my own family. They often times wanted to do as much for themselves as they could and have someone just assist them. I would enjoy the opportunity to share what many people have told me is my gift, with you or your family member. I would consider it a privilege to help others, as I did with my own family members. Thank you for considering me.

She was a friend of my sister that helped when she was in hospice. Some of the things she did was prepare her meals & household chores.
