I'd describe my personality as positive, engaging and kind. I like tutoring because I enjoy working 1:1 or with small groups of students. This enables me to focus on my students' strengths and design my teaching to specifically close gaps in my student's understanding. I'm looking for a job where I can be a support to my student and his/her family in order to assess the problem/s and provide the correct instruction to move the student forward academically. I started tutoring 15 years ago when I became certified in the Wilson Reading Program. There has been an overwhelming need for remedial reading services for students who are diagnosed with both dyslexia and other learning challenges. One thing you should know about me is I will work diligently to help your child make academic gains My skills include providing reading services, comprehension techniques, understanding sentence structure (syntax) -which are critical skills to becoming successful readers
