I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl for over ten years in my special education, math, and study skills classes at the middle and high school levels. Cheryl consistently served as a reliable and dedicated substitute teacher, and she brought with her a wealth of experience from her years working K–12 and as a school bus driver. What set Cheryl apart was her ability to not only follow through with lesson plans thoroughly, but also to enrich them with her own thoughtful spin. She approached each assignment with care, insight, and professionalism, ensuring that students stayed on track while making learning engaging and meaningful. Students loved Cheryl. My middle and high schoolers, in particular, appreciated her intelligence, her ability to relate to them, and her sense of humor. She brought warmth and positive energy to the classroom, along with a firm belief that every student can learn. Her inclusive mindset and respectful approach created a welcoming environment for all learners. Cheryl is a rare gem—thorough, dependable, student-centered, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. Any school or individual would be fortunate to have her as part of their education.
