About Josey

I became CPR/AED and lifeguard certified at the age of 15 and immediately started working for programs. Working 40 hours a week over my summer transitioning into my junior year, I learned a lot about dedication and team work. Deciding to take my passion one step further, I became a certified swim instructor and began teaching infants and children about water safety and swim strokes at age 16 along with continuing lifeguard. Leaving Phoenix and having to say bye to my students this summer broke my heart, however I know my journey will not stop there. I was able to work for a family through care. com during my senior year tutoring, providing transportation, and babysitting. After high school, I worked for saguaro aquatics, where I taught children with autism and other setbacks how to swim. I am currently in school studying to be a pediatric physical therapist. I believe that quality work comes from people doing what they love.

I interviewed Josey over the phone and I immediately enjoyed her easy going and fun vibe. She arrived right on time which allowed me to get right out the door and off to work. She is a swim instructor and took the kids swimming at our local pool. She even stayed for a bit after I got home to finish the game she had started with the kids. Here is what the kids had to say, "She is really fun and active! I liked the way she talked to us because it was really cool." J. age 13. "She was nice and really chill. She was just cool in general because she could relate to us." J. age 10.
