My passion for childcare and teaching started 9 years ago when I became a lifeguard/swim instructor with the city of Phoenix. I learned life saving skills including CPR/AED, first aid, emergency detection, etc., and also formed a proficient work ethic. After 3 years in Phoenix, I began senior year in Tucson while working as a Tutor/babysitter. After graduation, at 17 years old, I became closing lead instructor at Saguaro Aquatics. A year later I sought other skills, becoming a barista, helping open the first NW Tucson Dutch Bros while taking a RBT course to learn ABA therapy in order to implement it in my teaching. I took a second job instructing at Demont Family Swim School, but my time was cut short due to COVID and I moved to Chicago 8/2020. I worked in service industry learning more about myself and just how strong my work ethic is. In 2022 I began instructing again, honing my skills speaking to and teaching children.

I interviewed Josey over the phone and I immediately enjoyed her easy going and fun vibe. She arrived right on time which allowed me to get right out the door and off to work. She is a swim instructor and took the kids swimming at our local pool. She even stayed for a bit after I got home to finish the game she had started with the kids. Here is what the kids had to say, "She is really fun and active! I liked the way she talked to us because it was really cool." J. age 13. "She was nice and really chill. She was just cool in general because she could relate to us." J. age 10.
