I'm an enthusiastic, outgoing, and friendly ELA teacher who enjoys tutoring because it is absolute magic to help children master reading skills and unlock the beautiful world of reading; it allows me to share my passion for reading with others. I started tutoring when I was in middle school, continued all the way through college, and went on to make a whole teaching career out of it. My degrees are in English Language Arts Education (including an in-depth education of the science of reading acquisition) and Social Studies Education. I've since been teaching ELA for 9 years. I have experience in teaching young children to read for the first time or improve their reading. Additionally, I'm highly experienced teaching middle/high school to improve SAT, ACT, and FAST scores. My services include assessing skill levels, targeting specific skills, and developing personalized curriculum for each student.
