I started volunteering with people with special needs as a freshman in high school. By the time I graduated high school, I was running a respite program that serviced 20 individuals with special needs. I continued running respite programs while also working in schools and in Medicaid Waiver funded residences. I was trained in ABA and have worked with individuals using the Son-Rise and Floortime models. I am a part time student and a part time special needs provider.

Chaya has been a great caregiver to our 8 year old twins. Our son has autism & ADHD, our daughter is neurotypical. It feels sometimes like I've hired not just a babysitter, but a play therapist! She carefully considers both of their needs, and then gets them to play together. Both kids look forward to seeing her. It's a joy to see my kids actually play together, and not just sit around and play on their own handheld devices. I would recommend Chaya to any parent, but especially those with special needs children.
