I love working with Special needs children because they are so amazing, curious, and intelligent. I think working with them is very rewarding because I have the ability to teach them something new, as small as holding a fork to feed themselves and as major as writing their name. I think it is important for families to have a strong support system. I am an educator that works with special needs students during the school day. I also have been certified as a Parent Advocate for Children with Special Needs from Federation of Children with Special Needs. A lot of parents tend to need assistance after their child gets out of school in order to provide financial support or simply have a break. The child needs to be safe and secure as well as have some fun too! I will be able to provide all of these qualities. One of my goals is to have my own after school program for students with special needs. I would love to be apart of students life that could use a little extra love and attention.
