Hello. I am available to work with individuals who have special needs, as a nanny, tutor, or care assistant. I have 5 years of experience in public school Special Education, 2 years in a private Montessori setting, and 4 as a live-in nanny. I particularly worked as a one on one support for 2 girls with down syndrome for 5 years. I also have a large amount of caregiving and patient advocacy experience through caring for my mother. The skills I practice most are listening, empathy, patience, flexibility, positivity, and communication. I enjoy getting to know each person and what makes them happy. I am passionate about fostering independence, joy, and confidence and about listening, and giving respect and dignity. We all deserve that, regardless of the way our needs differ and change throughout life. I am committed to learning, adapting, and advocating. My other interests and areas of knowledge include music, yoga, native plants, and wild crafting.
