About Charis

Hello! My name is Charis. I was homeschooled and currently attend New College Franklin, a small Christian, classical school in Franklin, TN. I am able to tutor in reading, writing, grammar, and handwriting. My mom homeschooled us using classic books, and I learned to write by imitating the excellent books I had read through written narrations. (A British woman from the 1800s who developed an educational philosophy) influenced our curriculum choice greatly. I have chosen to use her methods, as they produce excellent results, both on me and countless others. It is important for children to read good books. One can only write well if he reads well, and there is a reason why many books are classics; it is because they are good and have stood the test of time. As I am a college student, I will only be in Orlando from the end of May through the end of July. I would be more than happy to tutor your child and help them to become a better reader or writer this summer!
