Hi families! I'm a career nanny and currently with a family full time right now but that will end in April of this year. Following that, I will be in Oahu, HI for a month (April 1-30). If you find that you'll be in Hawaii during that time for vacation and need coverage/babysitting for any ages, I will be available! No overnight fees, I'll have my own car, rates starting at $33 per hour, and no need for accommodations/food. I've lived in Oahu for 5+ years and very familiar with the island. About me: I've got an extensive background working with babies and toddlers in day care centers, babysitting/nannying, and preschool teaching. I LOVE spending time in the outdoors (playgrounds/parks, swimming pools, picnics, hiking, beaches, etc.) but appreciate indoor time with reading, sensory play, music, etc.). I can be playful and silly, as well as knowledgeable in the early stages of child development.

Our long-time nanny needed to return to her home country for a month for surgery; we met Joy and had the very good fortune to have her support our family and our 1+ year old daughter for the interim. Joy was reliable, engaged and connected effortlessly with our little girl. It's difficult to establish rapport and fold into a new family quickly especially when it's for a predetermined period of time; Joy IMO managed to balance learning our family quirks while connecting with our daughter really well. What could have been a really difficult month for our family ended up being a smooth, peaceful end of the year.
