a CPR and First Aid-certified nanny from Colombia with over 25 years of experience caring for children from newborns to 10 years old. I'm fluent in Spanish and passionate about fostering growth through music, arts and crafts, and engaging activities. While not fluent in English, I have worked successfully with English-speaking families using tools like Google Translate to ensure clear communication. I'm proactive, creative, and dedicated to creating a nurturing and joyful environment where children can thrive and feel loved. I'm comfortable using public transportation to commute and take children to local activities like libraries, parks, and playgroups. I also assist with meal prep, tidying up after children, and laundry. I take pride in providing attentive, personalized care and would be thrilled to be the right fit for your family. Cenaida has been taking care of my daughter since she was 3 months old. My daughter who is now 14 months has really thrived under her care. Cenaida is a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 5. She has great mother instincts and has taken care of my daughter as if she were her own. I trust her completely. My daughter absolutely loves Cenaida, she misses her on the weekends, throws herself at her in the mornings and is always sad, often crying, when Cenaiad leaves at the end of the day. I am constantly impressed by how much love and care Cenaida gives my daughter. The first year of parenthood can be chaotic-balancing work schedules/travel and childcare, and Cenaida has been a super supportive and a calming presence in our home. She is opinionated and will tell you what she thinks, offering suggestions about all the transitions that take place with kids, but she will also work with you to accommodate your concerns. She has been particularly great about communicating around my daughter when she has been sick, even coming with me to the Dr. to make sure she has all her questions answered whether it is about sickness or the next developmental milestone. I can honestly say that I am super demanding and a little bit of a control freak, and she has been incredibly patient and accommodating with me. She has taught both me and by husband a ton. The thing I appreciate about Cenaida the most is her happy and cheerful disposition. Cenaida is always smiling, always happy and talks and sings to my daughter all day; she reads to her, dances with her, and cuddles her when she's upset, tired, or waking up from a nap. Cenaida is never late to work; she is often early, and she often stays late to clean-up or do dishes. She stays late when either my husband or I are traveling to lend an extra hand. She is also willing to babysit in the evenings and on weekends (a huge plus). When my extended family visits and spends time with Cenaida, all I hear is how wonderful and loving she is with my daughter. Oh and in addition to taking amazing care of my daughter, Cenaida also cooks for us and does light cleaning--she even does our laundry sometimes. Basically, whenever my daughter is asleep, Cenaida spends the time doing other useful work around the house.
