About Celeste

I love working with kids, and have worked as a camp counselor and assistant teacher at an elementary school, and babysat lots too. I worked at a backpacking camp where I lead a group of kids on three-day overnight camping trips in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I was on 7 different trips throughout the summer, as well as taking care of the kids while at the base camp. This experience taught me a lot about how to be a successful caregiver, especially in uncontrolled environments like the outdoors. There were many challenges that arose while on the trail, which helped me to learn how to remain calm and problem solve without letting the stress get the best of me. And most of all, I learned how much I enjoy helping kids to connect with the magic of nature and enjoy the outdoors, which is increasingly important in our age of tech. I also have a background in teaching arts and crafts to kids, and as an artist myself I find so much fulfillment in helping to inspire creativity in children.
