Cecilia was hired as a long-term caregiver for my mom with dementia, working shifts as part of a 24/7 team. She was reliable with hands-on care and excellent with showers. However, despite many suggestions, she did not engage my mom in outings or structured activities, which was a top priority. After only 3 weeks, she gave 1 day’s notice to leave, despite schedule accommodations. Best suited for task-based care, not engagement-focused dementia support.
