About Catherine

I believe that every child is intelligent and capable of learning if given the right tools and support. Whatever learning style works best for your student, I strive to encourage kids to believe in themselves as this is the first step towards successful education. I began tutoring in high school as part of the honor society and have worked with children ever since. I am currently a senior at TWU and a full-time nanny, and I would love to take on new students after school to save up for graduate school next fall. My coursework has included child development and education. I have specialized experience educating children with special needs as I was a private special needs aid at Temple Christian up until the pandemic began. I taught English as an Aupair in Italy for 6 months in which I became fluent in basic Italian. I am also fluent in Spanish. I excelled in AP and IB courses as well as standardized testing so I have first-hand experience in tutoring at this level.
