About Catherine

I have been working in education for a decade, allowing me to assist students of a variety of ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Frequently, I work with students who are low-income, suspended, expelled, previously incarcerated, taking a leave of absence for mental health, and/or disabled. My experiences are diverse, including serving as a summer school teacher's aide; running a traveling library program; volunteering at a teen center; and completing a fellowship in archives education. My time with New England Tutors, LLC, has further cultivated my knowledge of neurodiversity and learning disabilities. I have had the privilege of supporting autistic, ADHD, and dyslexic students, who have helped me hone my ability to be an empathetic, flexible, and evidence-based educator. To date, I have helped three students reach graduation, whether through coaching, creating unique projects so they can meet the necessary standards, or one-on-one support in completing college courses.
