My passion for working with special needs individuals began when I was young. A family friend had a daughter that was a paraplegic due to cerebral palsy. Although a few years older than I was, my sister and I cared for her. Once of driving age we would take her to football games and out to dinner and movies. After graduating high school I accepted a position babysitting for a family that included an autistic toddler, as well as caring for a mentally disabled adult with multiple diagnosis including autism. This was enough to spark my passion for working with special needs children and shortly after I began working as an ABA therapist. After graduating college with a degree in Early Childhood Education I gave up my position to move to California.
