About Catey

I'm a currently a student at UL and I graduate in May with a BS in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, and I am taking a gap year to continue my community work before heading into a Master of Social Work program next year. During this time I'm hoping to gain more experience working in childcare. I love playing board games, puzzles, and educational games with children as well as drawing and painting. I'm comfortable caring for children of all ages and am happy to help with cooking, light housekeeping and any tutoring or school assignments. I follow the parents' preferred communication method and take their lead when it comes to enforcing household rules. I'm comfortable with pets, and have completed coursework in early child development as well as 40 hours of completed OVC TTAC training and 50+ hours of crisis work. I truly enjoy working with children and helping them learn and grow. I'm excited about the opportunity to support families and provide a reliable child care option
