About Cassie

Hello, my name is CJ and I am a mother and a natural caretaker. I grew up with siblings much younger than myself. I grew up watching them and helping out the family. I babysat starting around age 11 or 12 prior to starting my first real job. I have several years of experience as a paraprofessional at Omaha Public Schools where I worked mostly with children ages 4 - 10 and with many children from international backgrounds and whose first language was not English. I was fortunate to learn some advanced Spanish language skills through Omaha Public Schools and to be trained in professional development courses that have improved my skills. I re-entered college as an adult to pursue becoming a teacher when my daughter entered my life, and after that I was a full time mother and house wife. I had my daughter reading and writing by age three and a half and multiplying by age four. I believe very much in education and the earlier the better. I am fun, warm hearted and kind.
