About Cassidy

I am a full-time teacher who works with kids from PreK-8th grade. I have a Masters in Special Education and am also a nationally certified sign language interpreter. I am willing to help with homework and have safe, reliable transportation to keep up with your extracurricular schedules. I am looking to work with a family on a semi-regular basis for after-school care. I am also open to full-time Summer nanny work. While I don't have kids of my own, I am known as the "fun aunt" and one of the few teachers who gets cheers from the kids when they walk into a room. I am what the field of Education calls a "warm demander." I have high expectations for success and behavior, but know those expectations will want to be met because I have built a strong relationship with a child. I am not a big proponent of unlimited screen time, and instead like to "sneak" learning into everyday activities and life experiences. I also cook, bake, and do light cleaning.
