For the last two years, I've been taking care of a non-verbal young lady with developmental delays (she is about 4 years old, cognitively) and CP; I also care for her father, who is a senior partial quadriplegic with diabetes. I love them both dearly, and the "little girl" will forever have my heart. It took a long time to get to know her, and it still amazes me when I figure out some new thing she's trying to communicate to me. I was new to the care giving world, so I have learned a lot in the last two years, and one of those things is that I really have a passion for taking care of people with special needs. I'd love the opportunity to work with another family with special needs.
