About Cassandra

I am an Atascadero native and single mama to a 6-year-old boy. When I began caregiving, I cared for a diabetic senior quadriplegic and his non-verbal developmentally delayed adult daughter. I was responsible for live-in care, meals, bathing, toileting, dressing, wound care, IV and oral medications, bedtime, occasional errands, and light housekeeping. I have since cared for three hospice patients, as well as a number of other elderly clients. My current charge is a partial paraplegic with epilepsy, among many other ailments. I assist him in many activities of daily living, as well as scheduling and transporting to appointments, caring for him as he recovers from seizures, assisting with insurance and VA paperwork, and caring for his cats. I have a special interest in hospice, and am studying to become an end-of-life doula. I have learned many skills in the past four years, and I am naturally compassionate, friendly, and respectful.
