Hi! I'm a nanny looking for a new family to work with! I have 10+ yrs experience with children from infants to elementary school aged and also special needs children. I was a reading tutor at Rising Star Elementary school, working with kindergartner - 3rd grader children. I am currently home schooling a 1st grader. Because I'm from a science background (I have a MS in Toxicology), I use material from experts to inform my methods. I teach emotional literacy and grit as well as basic academics (reading, math etc...). I believe teaching empathy and kindness can begin before elementary school. I encourage children to be outside and active as much as possible, as I am an active person. I have children practice acts of kindness, such making food donations or cards for first responders.
