My name is Carrie. Prior to becoming a caregiver, I was a Cosmetologist and a Cosmetology teacher. I have always loved working with people. I used to care for a lady who had a rare neurological disease called cortical basal degeneration. It is so rare that they had no set treatment for it. She was dependent on me for everything such as dressing, bathing, and feeding. I also assisted her in the bathroom. She could not swallow and had a G-tube. Being a cosmetologist I also did her hair for her. I recently cared for a sweet young man who has severe cerebral palsy due to severe brain damage. He also had a G-tube and a trach. He would have mild to severe seizures. I cared for a lady who had a major stroke, diabetes, and heart disease. She was very much dependent on me to do everything for her also. I am currently caring for a sweet woman with MS in the mornings. I am available before 7 a.m. after 11 a.m. I have a lot of experience with many different medical conditions. I love what I do.
