About Carrie

My name is Carrie. Prior to becoming a caregiver, I was a Cosmetologist and a Cosmetology teacher. I have always loved working with people. I used to care for a lady who had a rare neurological disease called cortical basal degeneration. It is so rare that they had no set treatment for it. She was dependent on me for everything such as dressing, bathing, and feeding. I also assisted her in the bathroom. She could not swallow and had a G-tube. Being a cosmetologist I also did her hair for her. I recently cared for a sweet young man who has severe cerebral palsy due to severe brain damage. He also had a G-tube. He would have mild to severe seizures. I cared for a lady who had a major stroke, diabetes, and heart disease. She was very much dependent on me to do everything for her also. I cared for a sweet lady with MS for the past 6 years. I recently cared for a couple in their 80's. Both had dementia. I have a lot of experience with many different medical conditions.
