About Carolyn

I have over 30 years of experience working with Adults ranging from 18 to 99 years of age. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut in Therapeutic Recreation. My clientele in the group homes I serviced had multiple disabilities, and I was required to have annual training in back safety/lifting and utilizing mechanical lift systems. I also was trained in CPR, First Aid, Medication administration, Human Rights and Abuse, Person-Centered training, PMT, Signs and Symptoms, and transportation safety to name a few. I have been a one on one assistant for elderly people living at home, providing them recreational therapy, which I have a degree in from Uconn as well as some cooking cleaning/light ADL care. I have over 30 years of experience with direct care, recreational therapy, care, and medication knowledge. I currently am a therapeutic recreation Director at a nursing home in Bristol but I'm looking for some additional work outside of my regular job.
