Currently working with seniors in assisted living at The Admiral at the Lake as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Several residents are ambulatory. Some need meal, toileting, companion assistance to activities. I've worked there for 2 years. Prior to The Admiral, I work in the surgical unit at North Shore University Health System for 4 years as a Patient Care Technician, assisting patients returning from Orthopedic Surgeries and treatment of all sorts of bone, joint and muscles deformities, diseases and injuries. My training includes the proper methods of preventing falls, repositioning patients, emptying Foley catheters, NG tubes, drains of any kind, and satisfying all perinea care needs of non-ambulatory patients.
