About Carol

Hello! I am a semi -retired Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with over a decade of experience working in the rehabilitation department of a nursing home (Alden Court in Fairhaven MA). My duties as a COTA provided me with immeasurable knowledge and compassion for working with people with many diagnoses, including Alzheimer's & Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Orthopedic and Mobiliy disorders, Cardiac & Pulmonary issues and more. In addition to providing assistance with self care and household tasks, I can also provide structure and encouragement for clients to continue to participate in activities they enjoy , which in turn will help them to help maintain their strength, mobility and independence. I also enjoy providing mental stimulation to keep clients engaged to and provide them with a sense of purpose! I am passionate about working with seniors.
