About Carolina

Hi! My name is Carolina, I'm 32 years old and I have a Master's Degree in Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Education from St. Joseph's College. I also have a business degree from the University of Azuay in Cuenca, Ecuador and studied Educational and Child Psychology for 3 years at the same University. I'm currently a second grade teacher and absolutely love my job! Every child is different and has a unique way of interpreting the world around them. As teachers, our job is to nurture and encourage children to give their best effort in anything they do. I believe in hands-on, interactive learning where a child can play, discover, create, and truly enjoy the lesson because children want to learn about things that they are interested in. Culturally responsive teaching is also important to me, as the goal is to empower students by understanding their cultural backgrounds and tailoring learning to meet and celebrate their experiences.
