I worked with the elderly blind in New York City for three years for a company called VISIONS Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This was one of the best experiences of my life because I got to bond with so many incredible people who were so kind, sweet, and just want to be loved and cared for by someone they can trust, treats them with respect, and patience. Our days consisted of helping them with day to day things such as helping them with technology, errands, shopping, home care, or even just talking to them and reading to them. It was truly an amazing experience.
