My first experience as a Caregiver was with a sweet lady whom I met almost 10 years ago, my beloved G. When we met, I never thought that our lives and families would become one and that we would share almost a decade of happiness, joy, and life experiences. When I met her, She was in the first stages of Alzheimer and I was taking care of her just a couple of days a week. Her condition started to decline and care 24/7 was the only option. So, she came to live at my mom's house, where my mom, my sister, and I took care of her until she passed away almost three months ago, and the emptiness in our hearts has only been filled with all the beautiful memories and love she left. Despite the grief and pain again, we have decided that there would be no better way to honor her memory than to continue dedicating our lives to the care of seniors and this was the motivation to open the doors of our hearts and home to a special who needs compassionate care, love, and support.
