I had hired her for a nanny role for when I returned to work from maternity leave. She seemed great...we had gone through a phone and in-person interview, done a trial run, and she even babysat my kids prior to her official start date. She was all set up to start the day I returned to work. The evening before she texted to inform me she accepted another position and was not coming in, so I was left in a really tough position to scramble to find care on my first day back at work.
