My passion for working with special needs developed as a young girl. My mom would volunteer for a special needs class where I would join her once we were dismissed from school. These experiences allowed me to build friendships and ultimately inspired me to join Best Buddies as a teen. As a young adult, I was a teacher assistant for a life skills class and even helped start a chapter of Best Buddies at the campus I worked at. Working with special needs has always been a passion and pleasure in my life.
