About Carmen

Hello! I'm a 20-year-old junior in college seeking work while I'm home for the summer. When it comes to childcare, I have been around children my whole life, I've grown up with 6 siblings, a niece, and a nephew. My niece is 3 and has lived at home with us since she was born. I've had experience student teaching in a 1st and 3rd grade classroom, I've tutored high-schoolers, and students aged 9-14. I'm a patient person who seeks what is in the best interest of each and every child I work with. I love playing a role in helping children find their purpose and what fulfills them, such as their interests and hobbies. Being an older sibling, I have had experience being responsible for my younger siblings over the summertime. Even though I'm only 20, I have hands on child experience. In college, I am studying psychology and am currently enrolled in a developmental psych class; this gives me insight on child development and behaviors, and how to respond to them as well, never in anger.
