I'd describe my personality as cheerful compassionate and very understanding. I like caring for seniors because I learned so much from them. They taught me to have patience and how rewarding this profession is. It brings great satisfaction to be able to improve the quality or life in a meaningful way. I'm looking for a job where I can make a positive difference in someone's life by providing social, consumer, and services to people. I started caring for seniors when my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer in 2015. It was the hardest thing I've done but also the most rewarding job. In my spare time, I like to do yoga, hike, and shop. My skills include patience, interpersonal skills, empathy and great observation.

We have had more than 20 caregivers for my father and Carmen was the best we've ever had ! Some of her extraordinary qualities are: Professionalism: Always on time and prepared to be of service. She never hesitated or avoided doing anything she could do to be helpful. She kept detailed notes and carefully kept track of all my father's needs and routines. She never tried to make herself the center of attention or over shared about her personal life. She kept detailed notes and maintained healthy personal boundaries. Caring: Unlike others who take a clinical detachment , and just go through the motions Carmen brought her whole heart to work in service. Unlike others who get impatient, controlling, and sometimes even rude and mean, Carmen always demonstrated kindness and caring. Engaging Fun and Playful: This is one of the rarest qualities I've seen in your caregivers besides Carmen. And in my opinion one of the most important to make life meaningful and worth living for the patient. No matter how frustrated my father was at being present, communicating , and even when he was being difficult, Carmen would diffuse any tension with lightness and playfulness. No Drama: She never made her personal challenges the center of attention and showed appreciation and respect for everyone involved . Radiance: She brought a special glow to work to make everyone around her feel at ease
