About Carmen

I was working in camps and outdoor schools over the past 7 years. In some of these nature centers we had program animals that I had to care for and show to children. I was fortunate to take care of a variety of non venomous snakes, like the rosy boa constrictor, and some amphibians including frogs and salamanders. Other reptiles I cared for included bearded dragons and a tortoise. As for birds, there were birds of prey like owls, hawks, and eagles that I fed and cleaned up the aviary. I also took care of rabbits and chinchillas and one potbelly pig. I have experience caring for salmon in tanks at work and handling blue crabs in a catch and release educational environment. In my unpaid life experience I've cared for snails, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, goldfish, Siamese fighting fish, a garter snake, parakeets, chickens, geese, a domestic rat, squirrels, rabbits, cats, dogs, ponies, and horses. I know how to keep rabbits as indoor, free roaming, litter box trained pets.
