About Carly

Hello! My name is Carly and I'd love to chat more about what you're looking for. I'm an experienced educator with a passion with over 9 years of experience working with kids, from toddlers to 8th graders. In my last position, I was a Maker Space and gardening instructor at an elementary school, so I have honed my skills in patience, creativity, and have endless ideas for activities and fun! I believe in fostering a strong partnership with parents, ensuring that their preferred communication style is respected and that they receive regular updates about their child's day. My approach to enforcing household rules is guided by the parents' lead, as I understand the importance of consistency in a child's upbringing. When it comes to playtime, I love engaging kids in a variety of activities, from outdoor sports and to board games and crafts. I hold a college degree from UC Davis and have completed coursework in early child development. I look forward to hearing back from you!
