About Carly

My mom was a babysitter during my younger years of life. I helped her to care for the children she watched. By 15, I started watching children on my own. Getting many babysitting jobs and petsitting jobs. During my junior and senior year of high school (17 and 18 years old), I assisted at a private preschool as a teacher's aide for the afternoon classes and daycare hours. I mostly helped with the 2-year-old class for teaching, but daycare included kids from 2 years old to 6 years old. I love seeing kids grow in education and working with them to achieve educational goals. I have a younger cousin, who is now 8, and I've worked with her in reading and writing. I also worked as a seasonal naturalist for 2 summers and absolutely love engaging kids with the natural world around them. As well, I enjoy crafts and seeing kids use their creative side of their brains as well.
