I have nearly 20 years of experience working with children and adults with special needs in roles like, home healthcare provider, tutor, nanny, behavior interventionist, and special education classroom teacher. I have a masters degree in special education and a bachelors in early childhood education. In all of my care roles, I seek to facilitate active learning and development that is centered on the child and their family. My approach also incorporates music making/song writing, mindfulness, and children's interests into my work. No matter the setting, I always seek to provide individualized care for the child as well as their family/community network.
