I have worked with children with disabilities before, such as ADHD and Rett Syndrome. I was currently (for the past 4 months) working with my nephew as a distance learner assistant and needed to help implement plans to help him focus and work with his style of learning. He has challenges focusing on the task at hand, from time to time. My role was to help him focus his attention on the task at hand, while not ignoring his creative brain that had many ideas in it. I needed to recognize his strengths, while also reinforcing extra time for his weaker areas.
