About Carissa

Hello! My name is Carissa and I am looking to provide occasional child care. I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist specializing in early intervention and working with preschool-age kiddos. I have always had a passion for working with children and have casually babysat or nannied for multiple families for the past 14 years- most recently providing part-time care to a young girl from age 2-4. With my expertise as a speech-language pathologist, I understand the importance of play and providing a safe, nurturing environment for children to thrive. I am passionate about promoting literacy through shared book reading and taking a gentle parenting style of approach.
