Mom is on full time O2. Caregiver Left for the night with mom in bed and left oven on after cooking up some cookies. We provided grace and removed her from the schedule the next day to allow her to get some rest and traded her hours to make up for the hours lost. (She had offered to work on TGiving) so we gave her time to work that day, hoping that she had gotten some rest. She did not handle this very well. She felt that we were penalizing her for having left the oven on. She refused the TGiving hours, and said that she would continue to work as needed. (We had one other small hiccup that we chose to overlook. Mom had asked her to wipe out the silverware drawer instead of sitting on the couch looking at her phone. The caregiver informed my sister the next day that she charges $50 an hour for cleaning. Although on her profile it is indicated that light housekeeping is something she would do.) After refusing the TGiving hours, I told her in text that we had prayerfully decided to asked her to turn in her hours. We also took her off that evenings shift, although paid her for those hours not worked. She provided her address where she wanted her check sent to, and finished her text with: ""The world has always and will always crucify those that don't conform and stand up for themselves. It has nothing to do with 'prayer' it's ego based. Best of luck to you all. Sincerely."" We have since hired two other persons from Care.com Thanks
