I've been caring for children for over a decade through babysitting, nannying, camp counseling, internships, and teaching. I'm passionate about fostering growth and development as well as creativity and imagination. As a patient and calm person, I'm able to create a nurturing environment for children to learn regulation and problem solving at their own pace. I keep parents regularly updated via their preferred method of communication, and I follow their lead regarding household rules. I strongly believe children are capable and encourage them to be as independent as is appropriate for their age and ability. I'm comfortable caring for up to 4 children, ages 0 to 16. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and was a special needs pre-k teacher for 2. 5 years and a nanny for 3 years. I have a car but no car seats and I'm comfortable with pets. I had CPR and first aid training and certification for 4 years but it's currently expired. I look forward to meeting you and your family!

Cara is the best babysitter/nanny we've ever had. She is incredibly good with kids--they love her and have a lot of fun with her, but she holds excellent boundaries and knows how to handle tantrums and misbehaviors. She is responsible, punctual, kind, and delightful to be around. She babysat my three young children quite often and also did some overnights for us. We only felt comfortable leaving because we knew Cara was there. We trust her completely and know she always kept our kids safe and happy. We are so sad she moved away and will miss her. She is a gem!
