Hi there! I'm Cara and I've been a postpartum doula and nanny for the last 10 years. I moved to the PNW last August and am so excited to connect with families in the Portland/Vancouver area! I'm currently open to part time care for postpartum doula support, nanny care, sleep training consultation, date nights, and back up care. In my 10 years of working with kiddos my experience has varied between being a live in nanny, CNA in Postpartum, full time nanny, postpartum doula, and sleep training consultant. I specialize in postpartum support, lactation support, modified sleep training, chest/bottle feeding, colic, infant potty training, and reaching developmental milestones. Although I lean towards a Montessori style and gentle parenting with boundaries, I always have a heavy emphasis on aligning to what truly works best for each kiddo and family dynamic. Cara is without a doubt one of the best caregivers we've ever known! From the first day Cara has always arrived at our home with a positive, pragmatic attitude. There's nothing baby or kid related she can't handle; she has helped us through sleep regressions with a newborn to potty training our toddlers. When Cara plays with our kids their laughter echoes throughout our home. When she draws boundaries I can see them processing what she's said and internalizing her role modeling. Cara is sensitive, insightful, informed, firm and playful all at once. We highly recommend her!
