About Cara

As a certified teacher with 30 years of experience(now retired) in early childhood education, I'm dedicated to nurturing children's growth and development. My passion lies in creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. My patient, creative, and approachable nature enables me to connect with children and build trust with parents. I believe in open communication and work closely with families to ensure their child's needs are met. I'm very comfortable enforcing household rules and providing a structured routine that encourages positive behavior. From outdoor adventures to board games and educational activities, I enjoy a variety of games that promote physical, mental, and social development. I love being outdoors and exploring all of the beautiful places northern Michigan has, through hiking, visits to the beach and parks. I'm happy to assist with tasks such as homework, meal prep and cooking, carpooling, and light housekeeping.
