I realized at a very young age what I wanted to do with my life. I grew up caring for my brother every day who was born with cerebral palsy. He was unable to do anything for himself. I helped him out not because I had to but because I wanted to. My first job was at 16 working in a nursing home as a cna. I later switched to a personal care provider because I got more satisfaction caring for an individual than trying to help many in a short period of time. I have now been working in home health care for over 20 yrs and can't think of a better, more satisfying way to spend my days.
