I currently work 3 days a week (full days) with a nonverbal autistic teenager and have worked for them for over 3 years. Prior to working for them, I was a preschool teacher for almost 10 years. I have my associates degree from TCC for applied sciences and early education. I went to ODU for 3 years for my special education teaching degree with a specialty in autism. Life took over and I ended up two semesters yet to complete. I am currently considering online school to complete my degree with a emphasis on special needs behavior. I love my job and have worked with this family and will continue doing so.
