About Candida

My journey as a caregiver dates back to over a decade on the beautiful West Indian island where I am from, called Dominica, also known as the nature isle of the Caribbean; not to be confusedd with the Dominican Republic. As beautiful as the island is, there were so many children who were abandoned by their parents who couldn't afford to raise them, who birthed them under extreme negative circumstances or by parents who just didn't want them. My heart broke into so many pieces and I needed a way to help make a difference in their lives. So I made the best decision that I have ever made and left my job at government office to work solely at the orphanage. Raising so many different kids over the years and witnessing their resilience and growth to becoming respectable members of society. This is my purpose; helping little ones overcome the many challenges and obstacles thrown at them, to eventually get to their full potential.
