I would suggest being quite careful when considering Candice for a nanny/sitter position. Candice stayed with my family for a month caring for our 3 month old daughter. On a Sunday afternoon, Candice sent me a text message saying she could no longer be our nanny - leaving my husband and I, who have full time jobs, without child care for the following week or thereafter. After making Candice a part of our family, we found this to be incredibly hurtful and unprofessional. While Candice did form a bond with our child, certain qualities were lacking in her skill set. Candice asked for time off/to leave early every week in her stay with us. She also did not keep up with 'side work'. In the month she was with us, she did not take the initiative a single time to do our daughters laundry, and often left for the day with dirty and/or UN-sanitized bottles. I would be very careful in your consideration of Candice. I wouldn't want you left high and dry like she left our family.
