Hello families! My name is Ziggy (they/them), I am a CPR certified nanny and former preschool teacher. I bring bonus experience as a trained baker. I love crafts and enjoy the outdoors, and have a firm that there is no bad weather, only poor clothing choices! In my time at the Reggio preschool, I was trained in the pedagogy of conscious discipline. I'm patient, compassionate, yet possess firm boundaries and teach through example: I speak to children with honest, clear language and show them the respect that all deserve. I posses some basic conversational French skill, and a few semesters of Spanish under my belt. I have experience with ages ranging from 1mo to 15yrs, and have worked with neurodivergent children and adults with various levels of support needs. We recommend Ziggy wholeheartedly! They were our nanny when our children were both toddlers. Ziggy treated them with effusive love but also with clear expectations. That balance helped our children learn age-appropriate responsibilities while they always were safe and felt deeply cared for/about. On an employee level, Ziggy always showed up on time and ready for a full day and was flexible when we needed additional hours covered. (We’d hire them back in a heartbeat if it weren’t for the 3000 mile commute!)
